Problem Description

Virtual Machine creation over the WAP Portal can fail with error 15020.

Error Message

Error (15020)
The virtual network adapter NetAdapterName [MAC: 001FFD8Z71C82] doesn't have a CA (customer address) assigned from the VMSubnet related IP Pool.
Recommended Action
Please assign a CA address from the VMSubnet Address Pool to the virtual network adapter and try again.

Resolution

This problem can occur if you set the IP Address to “Static IP” inside the VM Template. Basically change it to “Dynamic IP” and try again to create a VM from this template over the WAP Portal.
