Problem Description :

Printers can disappear in (PMC) Print Management Console on Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2 after June, July, August 2016 Security and non-Security Updates. Some of the reported updates are as follows. Of course there can be also other updates which can cause printers to disappear in PMC.

Solution :

We haven’t investigated too much into this problem but the problem happens only on Servers after the above updates when KB300850 isn’t installed. The solution is basically to install the November 2014 Update Rollup Package which can be downloaded from the link below.
